Valentina is the matriarch of our herd. At eleven years old and in her seventh lactation she has made her mark at our farm. We currently have four of her daughters, seven of her grand-daughters, and five of her great-granddaughters. She has produced two two-time Junior All American Nominees: Sunny Knoll Jaeger Lavender—EX90 and Sunny Knoll Ernie Victoria—EX91 2E. Valentina and her daughters are long-lived. She transmits impressive dairy strength, nice feet and legs, and a udder that holds up and gets better with each lactation. She celebrated her eleventh birthday with a flake of special-occasion hay this year on Valentine’s Day. Valentina produced 28 embryos (JC Penney) with her first and only IVF.

Sunny Knoll Jaeger Lavender—EX 90

Lavender is a herd favorite.

She has phenomenal fertility. She showed in 2025 as a 4-calf Four Year Old. She had her first calf (heifer) at 1-11, her second calf (heifer) at 2-10, her third calf (heifer) at 3-10, and her fourth calf (heifer) at 4-10. For each of those four calves, she settled on the first AI attempt and with sexed semen every single time. With a CCR of 4.4, she has the genomics to match her record. Lavender’s first daughter has calved in nicely with her own heifer calf and classified at VG-87 in her first lactation.

With a feet and legs score of 92, an EX mammary, and fiery energy underneath her sweet personality, we think Lavender is built to last in our herd for many, many years to come. She is a very low-inflammation cow. Just like her own mother, she routinely calves with very minimal edema and is usually show-ring ready within a week.
